Experience
I graduated from Ithaca College in 2010 with a degree in general physics and a 3.9 GPA. During my time in school, I was a teaching assistant and study group leader for the physics department. I assisted students with any questions they had in class or lab. I also graded homework and lectured when the professor was unable to. In order to best help students, I held regular biweekly office hours so that they could ask questions or receive help on their homework.I have continued to work part-time as a physics and math tutor since my graduation. I generally work with high school and college students on a variety of topics related to physics and math. These are both subjects that I have been passionate about for a long time, and I truly enjoy teaching them to others and helping them come to enjoy their studies. I hope to help students by making their tutoring sessions both successful and fun. Part of this is focusing on the basics so that students have a foundation on which to base the rest of their education, and I have tutored many students in this way.When I am not tutoring, I try to lead a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy learning about nutrition and fitness, and playing golf and tennis are some of my favorite ways to work out.
